In her speech of acceptance, the Chairman referred to her installation as a great honour and a better opportunity to serve humanity. She also gave a clue of some of their activities and pleaded all hands on deck for the better achievement of the Inner Wheel set goals.

“I feel highly honoured to join the chain of the past District Chairman, I am being installed today as the 32nd Chairman of the Inner Wheel, District 914, Nigeria. I feel highly honoured and privileged to serve humanity within this year of serve.”

“We visit schools, conduct seminars, telling people what to do and what they should not do. The social vices in our society are too numerous and we are not happy about that. So, every hand must be on deck, as the theme for this year is ‘together we can,’ the Inner Wheel Members cannot do it all alone. So, we are calling on the good-spirited individuals to join hands in curbing this menace in our society.”

IWM Rose further noted the challenges of the organization despite the high expectations of the members. According to her:

“We have high expectations, God willing, our Invitees and Awardees have really demonstrated that. They have given us a platform on which we do our charity work, and we have every hope that, by the end of this Inner Wheel year, the less privileged, the destitute, the downtrodden in our society will have course to smile. You cannot do anything without money, but those who have today, have given us the leverage to do the work.”

A guest speaker on the occasion, Professor Eugene Nweke, who spoke on the theme of the Inner Wheel Program, urged the Inner Wheel members to ensure proper education and care of the GIRL CHILD, and to join in the protest against terrorism and other threatening issues of great concern such as kidnapping, drug abuse/addiction, human trafficking, etc.
